How long does fresh juice last?

August 10, 2014

The moment you juice a fruit or vegetable, it starts to oxidize. This is particularly true in a high-speed centrifugal juicer that pulverizes the juice in small particulars through the air to separate it from the pulp. This is one of the few reasons we choose to use only masticating juicers at Herb-N-Juice. Air and juice don’t mix well!  With a slow-speed, masticating juicer very little oxygen is introducing during the juicing process. So that means it can last much longer - up to 72 hours! It is still best to drink as soon as possible, but with little or no air introduced by the juicer, it can last much longer without significant oxidation. We use vacuum sealed mason jars to deliver our product, giving you a truly unique fresh juice experience.
